I like the way the Backrooms are not merely interpreted as a place of horror, but as an endless mechanism for the expansion of the same trauma - a place where everything branches outward like a growing tree, each corridor another extension of the original wound.

Thank you, Jeanne. I interpreted the movie like an allegory for complex post traumatic stress disorder, the memories layered and dismembered.

I know you said this was inspired by the concept but how was the film overall?

We actually have similar tastes when it comes to movies so I'm curious if you enjoyed it? I rarely watch anything new anymore...

Thank you so much. I actually really enjoyed the movie because even though for me it wasn't a horror per se, the psychological aspect reminded me of the first Matrix film. Something about conceptualising deep trauma in images was deeply satisfying.
